Taylor Beasley

I am Taylor Beasley, a black, queer, multi-media artist from Los Angeles, California with a multi-faceted and intersectional lens on life. I have over five years of administrative experience, which I will pair with culturally relevant know-how regarding storytelling, marketing, and appealing to Gen Z consumers. My objective is to become a marketing and merchandising, or TV and Film industry professional, and obtain a marketing internship or entry-level production position. I express myself artistically through photography, acting and modeling, wardrobe and set design, as well as creating content for social media. I entered UCLA as a freshman with an undeclared major in 2016. In 2019, I took a leave of absence to better figure out my life path, and the steps I needed to take to remain on it. In my time away from UCLA, I worked full-time as an administrative assistant at USC Student Health, which inspired me to search for ways to make my way into film and TV, regardless of my educational background. I initially worked portrait photographer at schools and events, where I gained experience posing people and set dressing. I then began to take background acting and commercial modeling roles. Following this, I worked as a film and media production assistant at Top Dawg Entertainment. Film and television production is how I want to learn how to build worlds, and I have a wide range of experiences to apply to facilitate my journey. My experience has given me the confidence and hunger that I previously lacked. I know what I want and I am excited to successfully take on any position that I am placed in. I love everything about production, and my dream role in the industry would allow me to work on several projects throughout my career where I could serve as a screenwriter, production designer, or executive producer. Now that I’m back at UCLA, I’m excited to find new avenues to reach my creative goals, and yours! Let’s chat to see if we can’t make something magical together!
